Social Media is integrating itself into nearly every part of our daily life and is now even coming on holiday with us. With British Airways boarding the Facebook marketing ship or should I say plane, they’ve launched a city guides Facebook app, which allows staff and customers to give reviews and advice on major destinations around the world.

The ‘Perfect Day’ app asks users to submit their favourite activities for British Airways’ top city destinations which could all fit into a 24-hour trip.

BA hopes customers that regularly travel and its cabin crew will add suggestions for people who don’t get to jet around the world as often. Users are also able to Like, share and comment on each guide.

Richard Bowden, digital marketing innovation manager at British Airways, said the app “allows travellers to find new experiences and be inspired by others who are passionate about a destination and want to share their insider knowledge and travel tips.”

Initially the app will feature content on British Airways’ most popular cities including New York, London, Madrid, Mumbai, Rio de Janerio, Berlin and San Francisco but hopes to expand based on feedback.
