Link building is pretty nifty for getting you noticed. It’s a process used to improve the amount of traffic leading to a website, i.e. making more people look at your site. There are two main ways of doing this: Direct Click-Through Traffic and Search Engine Optimisation or SEO.
Direct Click – Through Traffic is where links or adverts of your website are displayed on other sites so that when people click on the image or link, yep, you guessed it! It takes them directly through to your site, improving your incoming traffic and getting you noticed. Some links are good for traffic, and some are good for SEO and some of the lucky ones are good for both.
SEO is something else altogether, and it’s important that you don’t get the two mixed up. SEO is the process where your website becomes recognisable on Google for particular words, for example if you sell giraffes; you want to be the first website displayed when someone types into Google “Giraffes for sale”. To make this easier for you, we have a full page dedicated to explaining SEO so click the link to find out more about Search Engine Optimisation, minus the giraffes.
Links that provide good traffic and have great rankings with Google are obviously a good find, but don’t forget, a site with good traffic does not mean it’s all hunky dory for SEO!
We don’t like to big ourselves up, but Brash is pretty damn good at web presence. Search engines are our best friend, along with websites and the links that go with them, so send yours over this way and we can help you get your business noticed. Fact.
